Gloucester

We left at 8 this morning, winds were light to non-existent so did the 30 nm  motoring :(  Gloucester is a very busy spot with the biggest mansions along the water that I have every seen. I was some how expecting something along the lines of lunenburg as they have a history going way back, but that does not seem to be the case, it is far from a small fishing town now days. We would like to stay for an extra day but we are on anchor in a bit of an exposed area as all the good spots are filled with moorings and the winds are going to be picking up in the next few days. With that in mind we will do the 40 nm to Provincetown and maybe wait out the winds and rain that is coming. We came across two bathing Sunfish today and took the following picture, you can get right up to them as they do not seem to have any fear. It might explain that I may have motored over one later in the day as there was a bump and it looked like a chunk of flesh behind the boat - eek, I am thinking they get hit a lot.....

  1. A walk down Commercial Street Provincetown is quite an experience. Imagine driving an 28ft RV alone it as I did in a previous life!
